Event Calendar for Jira allows for a calendar to be exported into the Outlook365 Calendar within your Microsoft account.
The process is very easy and is done by subscribing to a URL.
Tutorial
1. Find a sharing URL
In order to obtain a sharing URL, within your desired calendar, click “three dots icon“, and from the list of options select “Export to Outlook365“.
2. Turn on URL sharing
Once a popup window appears, click the “Turn on external sharing” option. This option will generate a URL to be used in the Outlook365 calendar.
3. Copy the sharing URL
Once the URL has been generated, you can copy it by:
- double clicking the url field
- then pressing
CMD+C
(for Mac) orCTRL+C
on Windows – to copy the selected text
4. Subscribe from Outlook365 application
Open Outlook365 calendar application and find a “Add calendar” option. It is usually located somewhere on the left panel.
If you’re unable to find an “Add calendar” option in your Outlook interface, it means the Outlook365 is either a new updated version, or an old/outdated version. You should be still able to find the “add calendar” option somewhere in the application interface. 5. Create a web subscription
A new popup appears in which you should find an option “Subscribe from web“.
Once you find that option, paste the copied URL into the text input.
Outlook allows you to enter a customized calendar name, pick a custom color and assign the calendar into a category. If you are done with such configuration options, click the blue button “Import“.
6. That’s it
Once the Outlook completes the process and loads the calendar information, the individual events should be available in your Outlook calendar right away.
